Furniture Consignment

Have furniture you’re ready to part with but don’t want to deal with the stress of selling it yourself? My consignment service is designed to make the process easy. From pricing guidance to listing, storage, and customer communication, I’ll handle the details so your piece has the best chance of finding the right home.

Four pieces of vintage wooden furniture: two high stools with black seats, a set of four matching chairs with yellow cushions, an urn-shaped cabinet with glass doors and greenery, and a dresser with square drawer pulls and a plant on top.

What We Offer

We offer furniture consignment for quality vintage and secondhand pieces. You send us photos, we review the items, and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll guide you through the next steps.

  • Our standard consignment split is 60/40. You receive 60% of the final sale price, and we receive 40%. We handle the listing, storage, customer communication, and sale process from start to finish. Delivery to the buyer can also be arranged when needed.

  • Furniture drop-off takes place in Grover Beach. If needed, we may also be able to pick up your item(s) for an additional fee. Pickup pricing varies depending on your location and the number of pieces. Once accepted, we store the item while it is listed for sale.

  • You can send us photos ahead of time and we’ll provide an estimated selling price range. Before listing, we’ll agree on a minimum sale price so you feel comfortable with the lowest amount your item can sell for. Proof of sale is typically provided through our business Venmo unless the buyer pays in cash.

  • If needed, we can discuss a target time frame for your item to sell. You’re welcome to take your item back before it sells, though fees may still apply if it is removed before 3 months. Minor repairs may also be available before listing for an additional fee. To make everything official and keep us on the same page, all consignment pieces require a signed contract.

Our Process

Send Us Photos!

Start by sending photos of the furniture you’d like to consign. We’ll review the piece and let you know if it feels like a good fit.

Review & Approve

We’ll give you an estimated selling range, discuss any needed repairs, and agree on a minimum price you’re comfortable with.

Drop Off or Pickup

Once approved, you can drop your item off in Grover Beach or arrange pickup for an additional fee depending on location and quantity.

We Handle the Rest

We store it, list it, communicate with buyers, and coordinate the sale. Once it sells, you receive your portion of the final sale price.

FAQs

Do you accept furniture of all styles and eras for consignment?

1

Not always. We primarily accept furniture that aligns with the style of our shop and appeals to our customer base. We specialize mostly in mid-century furniture, but we are open to other high-quality vintage pieces as well. If you’re unsure, feel free to send photos and inquire.

Do you consign other items besides furniture?

2

Yes!! Depending on the item and its value, we may also accept other pieces on consignment such as high-value band tees, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and more. If you have something you’d like us to consider, feel free to send photos and details.

Do you have a minimum value requirement for consignment?

3

Yes. To make consignment worthwhile for both parties, we typically look for furniture pieces or groups of items with an estimated resale value of at least $500 total.

Can I take my item back if it hasn’t sold yet?

4

Yes. You’re welcome to take your item back at any time before it sells. However, if you take it back before 3 months, fees for our efforts will still apply.

REFINISHING + CONSIGNMENT

Some pieces have even more potential with a little extra love. In certain cases, we may recommend light repairs or refinishing before listing a piece for sale to help improve its presentation and increase buyer interest. Since every project is unique, this is handled on a case-by-case basis. Additional fees may apply, and consignment terms or percentages may be adjusted depending on the work involved.

"Consigning with Brandi at MoonFlower Thrifts was such a smooth experience. She picked up my MCM dresser right away, found a buyer before the project was even finished, and paid me promptly after the sale. She’s a savvy business owner, highly skilled at her craft, and I’m so glad I trusted her with the consignment."
