This very rare, genuine vintage mid century 1960s lowboy dresser is in excellent 9/10 condition! The brand is Morris Furniture and was made for their highly sought-after Matchmaker collection.
It is made with a mix of solid wood and walnut veneer! The body has been painted a dark brown, and the drawers accent painted with the same brown color. While the rest of the walnut on the front drawers has been refinished. The legs have also been refinished, and gold brass tips painted gold to match the newly added gold drawer pulls. The top middle drawer locks but i don’t have the key.
It has 9 drawers, and all open + close perfectly! They are all clean inside too.
Flaws: i found this dresser in pretty rough condition, which is why it was accent painted. The majority of the flaws have been repaired, but there are remnants of damage. Two of the drawers had chipped veneer on the front so you can see under the paint that there is some texture from repairing that. Also on the top of the dresser, there is some texture in the paint where you can see texture from repairs as well. All not super noticable - just being transparent!!
Overall it’s in excellent condition! Easily worth $2000+
