This rare, genuine vintage 1960s mcm floating headboard is in excellent 9/10 condition! Best for a kind size bed. Made with solid walnut - it is very heavy and high quality. It only has a very minor scratches / scuffs here and there. Nothing major at all! The original wood finish is very even throughout - anything that looks uneven in photos is just the light reflecting off of the piece.
Made by Broyhill Furniture for their Sculptra line. I did some research and I’m pretty sure it used to have a wood frame around it & was originally meant to mount to a bed frame, but looks like the wood frame around it was removed and instead this was used alone as a floating headboard. The finish looks great around the edges though, besides the bottom which won’t be seen anyway.
It doesn’t come with hardware so you’ll have to use your own method to mount it.
